To cater to the needs of the vast paying employees for knowledge and information about their personal housing provident fund accounts, the municipal provident fund center rolled out the housing provident fund query function on additional self-service kiosks (such as ATMs and multimedia kiosks) in coalition with Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Shanghai Bank and China Bank of Communications this year, in wake of last year’s launch of self-service provident fund query function on ATMs of China Construction Bank. Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank’s provident fund query service went live in September, and the self-service kiosks of the other three banks are poised to furnish housing provident fund query service as of 25 December. As of today, those housing provident fund paying employees of this Municipality carrying cards issued by Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Shanghai Bank or China Bank of Communications may log onto the self-service kiosks of the corresponding banks for query of information about their personal provident fund accounts.

Therefore, altogether five commercial banks have been enabled to furnish housing provident fund query service through a total of 5618 sets of self-service kiosks located in 2427 different places in the districts/county of this Municipality, almost covering the majority of the commercial office buildings and residential areas in this Municipality. In future, the municipal provident fund center shall further improve such self-service kiosks aided query function, diversify the feeds of provident fund information available for query, add auxiliary functions such as printing of vouchers, in a bid to furnish more convenient, swift and caring information query service.
